To provide for the increasing healthcare needs of a growing agricultural town and its community, the Brits Hospital is undergoing a major expansion and transformation programme.
Footprint
The existing hospital footprint has expanded over the years across several erven, resulting in a disjointed campus with multiple auxiliary buildings to the main hospital.
A unifying revitalisation programme will create a 92-bed medical complex that provides comprehensive healthcare for the local community.
Collaboration
Close collaboration between the clinical staff and professional team has resulted in a masterplan that emphasises connectivity, inclusivity and comfort.
The design aims to modify the existing hospital by improving overall functionality and increasing service capacity while upgrading the dated aesthetic with modern, quality materials and careful design detailing, evidenced by the signature face brick façades and elevational treatment.
The ongoing construction of the new main entrance and consulting room block confirms Brits Hospital transformation is well underway.
