In short, I was born in Port Elizabeth (as it was called then), raised and educated in Pretoria, interned in the Netherlands, completed my degrees in Pretoria, worked in Germany, and eventually returned home to Pretoria.
But in between, I was an exchange student to Germany where I met who is now my wife. I learned to play bass guitar and played in a church band since the late 2000’s. I swam, became a lifeguard, played chess, ranked nationally in karate and coached others in all the above. I have too many hobbies – sketching, painting miniatures, exercise, music, and playing games (boardgames, computer games, mind games – up to you really). My wife still tries to get me into dancing…
I have been blessed with many opportunities to travel, to explore, to experience life in a variety of places and forms, for which I am especially grateful. These unique perspectives on life and work have greatly influenced me in how I approach everything.
