Morne du Bois

Professional Architect

MORNE-Headshot

Growing up in the small town of Standerton, I developed an appreciation for community life. Being part of a close-knit community revealed the joy of being part of something larger than myself. Little did I anticipate that this experience would shape my journey towards becoming an architect.

My aim is to strike the right balance between connecting with people, creativity, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. The intriguing aspect of being an architect lies in its capacity to navigate between the practical and the imaginative. The challenges encountered in architecture, coupled with the people I collaborate with, motivate me. However, the ultimate reward lies in unwinding with a cold beer in front of a crackling fire, surrounded by friends and family after a fulfilling day’s work.

This mixture of creativity, human connection, and tangible outcomes summarizes the essence of my architectural pursuits. It propels me to continuously evolve, aspiring to be not only a better architect but also a supportive husband and an all-around “lekker” person.
